This week’s look is a pretty playground of textures! We’re highlighting a red maid with yellows, greens and a hint of ivory. It’s lovely!

For both bouquets, we used ivory spray roses, Boston fern, Italian variegated pittsporum, aster, Iris, green brunia, craspedia, freesia, stock, and maidenhair fern. This combination of flowers is a unique complement to the rust red bridesmaid and antiqued ivory silk lace gown. It’s a fresh-picked look while still maintaining a great bouquet shape that accents the dress and gown just beautifully.

 

 

 

 

The boutonniere includes aster, craspedia, pittsporum, Boston fern, freesia buds and brunia. Little pieces of each item make a cute little something for the groom. As always, we love it!

For the bride, we have designed a petite hand-tied bouquet of Sweet Eskimo  roses, white hydrangea, white/pink ranunculus, pale pink spray roses, and loops of curly willow.

 

As a true complement to the bride, here comes the maid with green and mini green hydrangeas, hot pink ranunculus, and willow loops. We love the splash of color for the maid--especially with our neutral dress color.

 

And the boutonniere?!? Goodness, how sweet! We.love.willow.

Recently, we’ve had a couple of brides seeking petite hand-tied bouquets, so we thought we’d take this opportunity to design a few little bundles for your gazing pleasure.

This week’s look is quite the looker with its petite bouquets of ivory spray roses, lily grass loops, light pink waxflower, peach stock, Cool Water roses, red bouvardia, galax leaves and lily grass loops.  Even though it sounds like a plethora of petals, it’s petite!

As almost always, we chose to stay neutral for our bride (spray roses, waxflower, stock, lily grass and galax leaves) and add the splash of colors for the maid (Cool Water rose and red bouvardia).

And who says you have to have a plethora of roses in your bouquets? We are presenting bouquets of plenty this week with a sweet combination of Queen Anne’s lace, Sereno crème spray roses, white cremones, Italian ruscus, lily grass loops, and peach hypericum berries.  The maid bouquet has an added dash of "woodsy" in that simple loop of willow.


This week’s look features a golden maid and a tulle bride. It’s both rich and feminine. We love it!

Gold is a very fitting color choice for weddings. After all, in the words of good ole Don Williams, “You placed gold on my finger. You brought love like I’ve never known…But most of all, you’re my best friend.”  See? We said it was fitting!Take a good look this week.  It’s pretty!


Bridal Gown from Geny's Bridal: Lis Simon "Edine" is a princess seam, sweetheart neckline satin bodice featuring a heat pleated tulle skirt and a soft lace applique.  It's tulle with an attitude... and very flattering.

We had such fun working with Callie and Jacob for their Front Porch Farm wedding. Callie chose the prettiest tint of blue-green for her bridesmaids and definitely wanted to incorporate peacock feathers into their special day. It turned out very pretty.  We couldn’t have been more pleased.
We paired the ever-so-colorful peacock feathers with pale peach Crystal roses, deep purple calla lilies, ivory spray roses, curly willow loops, and fern, fern and more fern! We heart fern! Our assorted ferns included leatherleaf, flat fern, sprengri, and maidenhair.
For the beautiful bride, we combined white lisianthus, ivory spray roses, Patience garden roses, and Crystal pale peach roses to form a bountiful bouquet of beauties. The bouquet was accented with our fern assortment and later embellished with a golden “K”, the bride’s new last name initial, and lace from her mom’s wedding day headpiece.
In true farm wedding style, we say, “It was some kind of pretty, y’all!”

While going through her Grandmother's things, she found this envelope that contained a quotation from Geny's for her Grandmother's wedding flowers way back in 1938.  And, the photo is from her Grandmother's wedding that Geny's subsequently did the flowers for.
Angela, a fine floral designer in her own right, was a customer of ours while doing wedding flowers for her
own clients.  So, when she saw the familiar "Geny's logo", she knew it had to be something good.  We appreciate
her sharing with us.

The bride’s bouquet features sweet white ranunculus, curly willow, sunflower pods, flat fern, sprengri, maidenhair fern and leatherleaf. That’s right. Leatherleaf fern. We’re bringing it back, folks! It’s an oldie but a goody in this case. The assorted fern adds such texture in bouquets and especially in this one. It’s so fresh, mod, earthy, and fun!

Our bridesmaid bouquet this week allows playful orange and red ranunculus a chance in the spotlight. It, too, features our fresh fern assortment, sunflower pods and willow.

And how adorable is our centerpiece? Aside from our exclusive barnwood containers (ah!), we’re showing off our ferns, willow loops, and ranunculus. So sweet we can hardly stand it.

This look is perfect, we say PERFECT, for all these “down home” weddings going on these days.  Our hearts are smiling.

Honestly, one has to try reeeallly super hard to mess up a palette as pretty as navy blue and ivory.  It’s a great choice for weddings year round. It’s crisp, and it’s classic.

Gray and peach tones have had their share of the spotlight here recently, but we’ve taken a new spin on the palette. Not everyone has a golden gown to accentuate such a pretty combination, so take a minute to look at Geny's Bridal Private Label "Amaryllis". This is a beautiful V-neck, Fit and Flare gown that is heavily beaded and features a deep V-back and elegant chapel length train.

For the maid, we’ve selected a dress from Jordan Fashions Couture Collection - Style number 1402 – This style features  a strapless, modified trumpet chiffon gown that drapes softly to the side with a fluted back skirt.  It is shown in pewter.

To complement the non-traditional hue of the bridal gown, the bridal bouquet features a simple, traditional compilation of ivory Vendela roses, white stock, white ranunculus and white lisianthus. The maid bouquet features Vendela roses, peach stock, white ranunculus, and white lisianthus and is embellished with rhinestones and a soft, silvery gray satin ribbon.

Green, white and ivory has to be our favorite combination when it comes to flowers…ah, who are we kidding?!? We have many favorites. This week’s look boasts a crisp complement to champagne bridesmaids and a lace bride. Such a pairing would be quite beautiful in just about any setting.


For the bride’s bouquet, we have combined white hydrangea, freesia, tulips, and salal.


For the bridesmaids, we complement the bride’s crisp whites with green Wimbledon roses, freesia and salal. We’ve mentioned before our love for ribbons-- Check out the wide satin ribbon showing off on the maid bouquet. The color is Spring Moss, and it is... perfect.

Our inspiration? Gowns from Geny's Bridal, of course!  For the bride, Bree, from Robert Bullock Bride... with a Sabrina neckline and a low back... a satin mermaid gown with lace applique overlay.
